USA • Flint Group announced the acquisition of American Inks and Coatings (AIC) based in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. This acquisition combines two suppliers of inks and coatings to the North American packaging industry, creating a strategic position in the paper and board packaging segment and in the flexible packaging segment, the Flint Group said.
USA • Clondalkin Flexible Packaging announced it invested in a new, high-speed flexographic printing press at its Orlando, Florida facility. Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Orlando is a die-cut manufacturer and converter in the North American flexible packaging industry for the bakery, beverage, dairy and coffee markets.

GERMANY • The company said it will launch the next generation in Ultrasonic Cleaning Technology developed in France in time for drupa (Hall 11 Stand C32). This anilox cleaning machine, NextWave, incorporates all the technical operations into one console.

USA • DuPont Advanced Printing is launching new DuPont Artistri inks that the company said will deliver brighter colours, shorter production cycles and higher production throughput for direct-to-garment (DTG) and roll-to-roll (RTR) printing. The new inks will be featured at the upcoming drupa (Hall 8B, Stand C21).
BELGIUM • The Ghent Workgroup represents the entire PDF community including industry associations, vendor and industry members. Both Chili publish and Ricoh are now joining as vendor members and thereby commit to supporting and incorporating the Ghent Workgroup Specifications into their solution offering.
