Belgium • St-Luc Labels & Packaging has acquired a Comexi L20000 water-based laminator to complement film products printed on its HP Indigo 20000 digital press.
The Comexi L20000 is the result of a strategic agreement between HP Indigo and Comexi to respond the requests from flexible packaging field. This equipment has been designed to enable a reduction in the product lifecycle, allow mass customization and personalization, offer fast delivery times, easy switch between lamination and coating, and to make it possible to deliver a complete packaging in less than 24 hours.
The water-based machine minimizes waste at the startup of a job, an essential benefit when facing the growing trend of very short runs, which also means saving in costs and reducing environmental impact. Alongside short delivery times, the Comexi L20000 is designed to offer efficient time-to-market thanks to its energy efficiency and minimal noise pollution.
Installed at the company’s headquarters in Belgium, this is the first lamination machine at St-Luc Labels & Packaging and will enhance the performance of its latest production hall, which contains different printing, laminating and digital technologies for flexible packaging costumers. The company has recently acquired a Comexi S2 DT slitter and has other commercial agreements in mind.
