Bobst – Big order with CPC Packaging
SWITZERLAND • The French packaging solutions company CPC has invested in three flatbed die-cutters and a rotogravure machine from Bobst.
The Mastercut 145 PER Autoplaten die-cutter is running at 9,500 sheets per hour and is designed for a sheet width of 1450 mm.
For smaller sized widths the company invested in a Novacut 106 ER, well suited for short run jobs.
The Expertcut 145 PER large-format die-cutter is designed for running materials like litho-laminated board, paper, carton board, and heavy solid board. It uses the latest Bobst technology such as register systems, intelligent feeders, and quick-change tooling
Also part of the investment is a RS 6003C HS gravure printing press featuring technologies like Bost’s unique TAPS (Total Automatic Pre-register Setting) system, which completes the pre-register procedure of all print units whether it is a new or repeat job. During printing the machine has superior register performance, achieving register correction several times faster than conventional systems, especially at the critical phase of machine speed variations. Meanwhile the press enables fast make-ready operations and quick changeovers and automatic splice operations can be performed at maximum production speed.
The machines will all be installed in different CPC Packaging plants during the second half of 2018.
Headquartered in Montreuil, France, CPC Packaging was founded in 1986 and has 650 employees across nine factories in France and Germany. With sales of 140 million Euros across Europe, the company has provided a one-stop-shop offer of cartons, flexibles and labels for many years.
