Cerutti – Finding success in Southeast Asia

INDONESIA • After beginning a successful relationship in 2012 with two eight and nine colour R981 Cerutti machines, Plasindo Lestari chose to purchase two additional new nine colour rotogravure model R98X air-chuck machines in 2017. Both are scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2018 to its printing plant in Cikampek, Indonesia. The second press will be the first in the whole of Indonesia to be equipped with the new type of ventilation system that Dr. Giancarlo Cerutti first presented during the ERA meeting recently held in Barcelona, Spain.

“With Urip Cahyadi, we have a strong friendship and cooperation that lasts since decades and still continues with these two new generation machines,” said Dr. Giancarlo Cerutti. “During our latest meetings in Jakarta we have also started conceiving new possible projects that will bring new technological developments and possible investments in the coming years.”

The company has also recently installed several other machines in the Far East including a new ten-colour model R98X air chuck at PT Panverta Cakrakencana that started production in Pandaan, Indonesia last year. It joined three other nine and ten colour Cerutti machines installed in 2005, 2010 and 2015, respectively.

Cerutti also installed a new eight colour R98X air-chuck machine at Print Master that started production in November 2017 in that company’s new site in Bangkok, Thailand. This is the second Cerutti machine for Print Master, following the first seven colour machine installed there in 2003.

Additionally, after installing two Cerutti eight-colour machines in 2001 and 2002, the giant food company Indofood invested again last year in two new twin eight colour R98X air-chuck machines. The new lines will start production by the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018 in that company’s newly expanded production site in Purwakarta, Indonesia.
