ROTOCON EUROPE • With headquarters in Hamburg, Rotocon Europe has been registered in 2018 and will start selling the Ecoline digital converting machines and also machines for slitting, inspection and rewinding in Europe. The proprietors are Michael, Pascal and Patrick Aengenvoort and the managing director is Pascal Aengenvoort. As far as the Ecoline is concerned, Rotocon Europe is cooperating with German company PrintsPaul, a renown trade shop with focus on used digital printing presses.
Founded in 2008 by Michael Aengenvoort and led by his sons Pascal and Patrick, family-owned business Rotocon is headquartered in Durbanville, Cape Town. The company provides consulting and service to South Africa label and package printers and converters in the narrow web industry.
2016 saw the separation of Rotocon’s operations into two distinct divisions – Rotocon Consulting & Service and Rotocon Finishing Machines – and the simultaneous emergence of a new collection of the company’s own Ecoline brand of finishing machines. So far as structure is concerned, Rotocon Consulting & Service is the arm that embraces installations, training, after-sales service, maintenance, spare parts and consumables, while machinery sales fall under the umbrella of Rotocon Finishing Machines.
The Ecoline product range is part of Rotocon’s own line of finishing equipment launched in 2017. Manufactured by overseas machine builders, this range combines production-related reliability and accuracy with cost efficiency, which makes it the subject of interest particular for smaller operations and start-up ventures. The Ecoline range consists of the RSI-330 designed for inspection and slitting of printed labels; and the RDF-340 digital label converting and finishing system.
