BRAZIL • The German suppliers of printing inks for packaging applications and labels, has signed a contract to purchase family-owned Tupahue Tintas, a Brazilian manufacturer of flexo and gravure printing inks and varnishes located in Diadema (São Paulo). With this acquisition, Siegwerk expands its presence in the Latin American region and further strengthens its ability to better serve specific local market demands.
Since its foundation in 1989, Tupahue Tintas offers ink solutions especially designed for serving the needs of packaging converters in the local market. The portfolio covers flexo and gravure printing inks and varnishes suitable for a wide range of substrates like LDPE, HDPE, BOPP, PP, polyolefin, polyester, Aluminium, metallized films and others.
Siegwerk’s purchase offer includes the transfer of all technical expertise and product portfolio as well as the manufacturing equipment related to Tupahue’s headquarters in Diadema. Both companies will work closely together to ensure a smooth integration of the business without any interference for current customers of both companies.
The parties have agreed not to disclose any financial details related to the acquisition.
