DENMARK • The company’s wide web corona technology has been chosen by Comexi, for its newly launched ML2 laminator.

The system chosen is the newly developed VE1L model that is capable of treating conductive and non-conductive materials, and is supplied with the iCorona generator.

The Comexi ML2 replaces the company’s Dual model and is capable of running solvent/ water-based, or solvent free adhesives. It has a maximum web width of 1530 mm (60”) and is capable of 450 m/min (1476 fpm), offering cold seal, heat seal, ink, matt and gloss varnish, as well as all kinds of in register applications. Its trolley design permits gravure, solvent-less, flexo, semi-flexo and enclosed doctor blade chamber operation, and customers can specify drying tunnels up to 9 metres (30 ft) long, with independently controlled sections.

For Comexi, the new ML2 will help to boost its record sales performance in global markets and sets the company well on the way for its Industry 4.0 solutions. For Vetaphone, the new cooperative agreement is a key milestone in its 2020 plan.
