USA • The FTA Conference awarded Flint Group Flexographic Products the 2016 FTA Technical Innovation Award in the prepress graphics category for its nyloflex FTF digital plate, which allows flat top dots and a micro-textured surface without the need for additional processing steps or digital surface screening, the company said.
USA • The Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) has selected MacDermid’s Lux In-The-Plate (ITP) technology as the recipient of its 2016 Technical Innovation Award. Presented on 6 March at the FTA’s Annual Awards Banquet, the award recognizes “companies and/or individuals whose visions and perseverance bring new and innovative products and technologies to the flexographic marketplace”.
VIETNAM • Comexi participated in the Pro & Pack Vietnam fair that took place 1-3 March. Visitors had the chance to see the company’s latest solutions for the flexible packaging field, which included technology in flexible, rotogravure and offset printing; lamination, slitting and logistic accessories.

USA • MacDermid announced it plans to preview its newest additions to its Lux In-the Plate (ITP) platform at Infoflex later this month in Fort Worth, Texas. What the company calls Flat-Top Dots out of the Box is adding two options, Lux ITP 50 and Lux ITP C.
INDONESIA • The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies (NPES) and the International Color Consortium (ICC) announced the presenters and sessions for the Color Management Conference to be held on 17 March in Jakarta.
USA • Smithers Pira announced that the Digital Print for Packaging conference is heading to Chicago, IL from 7-8 September. The 2016 program will show brand owners, converters, printing equipment suppliers and packaging designers how they can capitalize on this quickly evolving technology.
LUXEMBOURG • Doneck Network announced it will be taking part in Proflex for the fifth time in 2016. Its German-speaking sales team will inform trade visitors at the exhibition booth in Stuttgart about its latest products and innovations, including its certification to DIN EN ISO 22000 Hygiene.
