ITALY • The newly planned and developed exhibition and conference, scheduled to take place at Fiera Milano from 29 May to 1 June 2018, has been conceived in collaboration with the Italian printing and packaging industry to provide a wealth of business and networking opportunities for manufacturers, printers, brand owners, operators of the mass market distribution, retailers, and creatives. A busy schedule of presentations, workshops, and initiatives will highlight the role and potential of Italy’s printing industry. Though not necessarily intended as a competitor to the sprawling drupa show and other major printing and packaging conferences, the organizers are planning on using this as a platform to showcase the best that the Italian printing and packaging industries currently offer.
The Print4All organizers are tied to the market through a close connection with ACIMGA and ARGI, the main organizations representing Italian and international manufacturers of printing and converting machines, as well as the 4IT Group, a long-standing company that has been observing the markets of the Graphic and Communication Industry for over 10 years. Fiera Milano, leader in the trade fair organisation industry, is the organiser.
A further boost comes from several steering committees which aim to establish close ties with major market players to increase the focus of Print4All. Additionally, training session platforms will provide an overall view of printing opportunities during every stage of the customer journey – pre-sale, in store, and after-sale – showing views, experiences, and technologies that will make the event evolve successfully.
Intensive seminars are also planned that will focus on concrete topics and provide additional insights. The “The Future of…” series of meetings will provide opportunities to network with international experts and provide additional tools to support the success of the “Company of the Future”. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet outstanding personalities within the industry who are scheduled to show attendees new perspectives and approaches, offering added value to all industry’s players.
“The Future of” will also include institutional events, providing a forum for debating and reflecting on the challenges companies are about to face and for which they must be prepared. In particular, during Print4All, the Paper and Graphics Federation (ACIMGA-ARGI, ASSOGRAFICI, ASSOCARTA) will present the results of months of research and mapping of the State of the Art of the Industry 4.0 Practices. This study, conducted in collaboration with SDA Bocconi, will help support companies during this period of transition.
Lastly the PrintMAT “event in the event” will focus on printing innovation. To facilitate this, an area dedicated to the latest trends will showcase the best printing solutions in every stage of the product’s life – pre-sales, in store, and after-sales – by simulating different use contexts. Highly innovative samples will provide printers with true benchmarks, and creatives and graphic designers with new ideas and work tools. At PrintMat, attendees will find products that combine new technologies, materials, and media that obtain new and enthusiastic outcomes while hopefully generating the “wow effect”.
Flexo & Gravure Global will have continuing coverage of the conference, both preparations for it as well as other events leading up to the opening next May itself.
