GERMANY • BST ProControl, a subsidiary of BST eltromat International, announced it is expanding its sensor offerings for layer thickness and basis weight measurement with a new highlight for K 2016, the new PC16S-wave transmission sensor. The company will premiere the sensor at its booth in Hall 10, Stand E46.

USA • Pamarco announced its third annual “Printing for a Better Future” event grew again and benefited a number of at-risk kids in Kosovo. Each year, Pamarco employees, their families and friends donate bedding, toys and many other items to children around the world.

THE NETHERLANDS • Smurfit Kappa announced it has entered the record books by making the world’s largest cardboard box. Measuring 40 metres by 20 metres (131 ft x 66 ft), it was designed and manufactured by a team in its van Dam plant.
The box has gone on to be recycled and will be turned into new packaging for one of Smurfit Kappa’s customers in 14 days
