GERMANY • The European Rotogravure Association (ERA) has elected Manfred Janoschka of Janoschka Holding as its new president. He succeeds José María Camacho, former CEO of Circleprinters and is the first ERA president to be elected from a cylinder engraving company. The election took place in the context of the ERA Annual Conference held in Dusseldorf on 26-27 September.
In the same meeting, Max Rid, President and major shareholder of Heliograph Holding, was elected vice-president, while retaining his position as treasurer of the association. Peter Andreou, CEO of Circleprinters, Dr Andreas Dörfler, MD, of decorative printer Impress Surfaces, and Dr Tomas Sterkenburgh, MD, of the Saueressig Group, were elected to the ERA Board, while Roto Smeets CEO Joost de Haas and Dr Bertram Stausberg, Co-CEO of Bertelsmann Printing Group, were re-elected for a further term of office.
