USA • Harper Corporation of America announced its roadshow across the US and into Canada beginning 29 March to demonstrate technology and advancements in the flexographic industry.
BELGIUM • FTA Europe, the European umbrella organisation for flexo is celebrating today its first anniversary. Founded on 9 February 2015 by the founding members ATEF (Spain), ATF (France), ATIF (Italy), EFIA (United Kingdom) and EFTA Benelux, the association can look back on several successful events in 2015.
CANADA • TC Transcontinental, Canada’s largest printer, added a new Titan SR800 slitter rewinder to its fleet of slitter rewinders operating within its TC Transcontinental Packaging division.

UK • Troika Systems launched its Surface Cam Calibration Program (SCP), a calibration system for its two applications used by coating and embossing converters.
The calibration system ensures users of low screen material that the depth and volume of the embossing or coating cylinders are correctly measured, Troika said.
THE NETHERLANDS • At drupa 2016, DG press will exhibit a new Thallo printing unit and a refurbished vision unit. According to the company, there are some improvements compared to the previous generations of web offset printing presses for printing on film which will be highlighted by DG press at the drupa show.
BELGIUM • The newly establisched FTA Europe is planning to launch a European Flexo award in 2016 at the occasion of drupa. The idea is that winners from national flexo awards competitions will be submitted for a European “best of the best”’ selection.
